Great Falls Skunk Wagon Antique & Classic Car Club
The name Skunk Wagon is a peculiar name owing its existence to western artist Charlie Russell and his association with Native American Indians. They sometimes referred to the old smoky and smelly cars as skunk wagons.
Regular meetings are normally the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Eagles Lodge:
1509 9th St. South, Great Falls
The Great Falls Skunk Wagon Car Club is the oldest chapter of the Montana Pioneer and Classic Auto Club that was founded on the principals of the appreciation, preservation and/or restoration of antique vehicles. Currently there is no requirement that members own any such vehicle, just an interest in vehicles.
The club focuses on car fellowship so people can socialize and share information about collector vehicles. An annual program has been instituted to have 5-6 fun cruises which are primarily lunch tours. Members like to display their vehicles at the State Fair displays, car shows, and local retirement homes where residents can reminisce.
Members enjoy participating in the Montana Pioneer & Classic Auto Club’s annual tours, as well having our chapter host one every few years.
The chapter also sponsors Montana’s oldest Auto Parts Swap Meet held in Great Falls the last weekend in April.
